Permanent Exhibition

The historic Expo58 pavilion, which has since come to represent Belgium and Brussels internationally, has a history of more than 60 years, which is chronicled in the permanent exhibition. The building’s downfall in the 1990s, reopening in 2006, and culmination with the present project are all covered in the second section.
As a gesture of support for the Atomium, Etienne Tollenaere created a model of the Expo 58 site, which has been a permanent addition to the exhibition since July 21st, 2020.There are three levels to the display:
The visitor will be immersed in the heart of this famous and unique trip in one area of the lower sphere (levels 1 & 2) thanks to archival papers, photographs, movies, and innumerable models.
Additionally, at level 7 of the panorama, a visitor gets the chance to contrast the view they can see now with the view their forebears would have had access to in 1958.

Important Information
The temperature inside the Atomium can be very high in summers due to the intense heat and the constraints of the building’s structure.
The purchased ticket is valid on the selected date between 10 AM and 5:30 PM
Because there are more people visiting over the holidays, the lines may be longer
The rest of the Atomium is difficult for individuals with limited mobility to enter, with the exception of the highest sphere, which is accessible by elevator
There are 80 steps to walk up and 167 steps to walk down
