Paris: Arc de Triomphe Rooftop Tickets

A neoclassical take on the ancient Roman triumphal arch style, the Arc de Triomphe is a famous monument located in the heart of Paris. Built in the 19th century to honor the French soldiers who fought and died for France during the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars. The monument is a popular tourist attraction and offers visitors a fascinating look into French history and culture.

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers lies at the arc’s base to pay tribute to the 1.3 million French soldiers who died in the First World War. Soon after his victory at Austerlitz, Napoleon ordered the construction of the Arc de Triomphe, which was inspired by the enormous arches of ancient Rome. Unfortunately, he never lived to see its completion.

The Arc de Triomphe has played an important role in French history, symbolizing national pride and unity. It has been the site of numerous military parades and ceremonies, including the annual Bastille Day parade. Behold the eternal flame that is reignited at 6:30 PM each evening. Additionally, there is a must-see exhibition that explains the symbolic importance of this monument.

The 284 steps are worth it for the view from the top of the arch. From your heightened position, survey all of Paris. From the rooftop, visitors can also get a unique perspective of the arch itself. They can see the intricate carvings and sculptures up close and appreciate the monument’s beauty and grandeur.

The rooftop of the Arc de Triomphe offers visitors a panoramic view of Paris that is unmatched by any other attraction in the city. Visitors can see famous landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, and the Champs-Elysees, and get a bird’s-eye view of the city.
