If you’re too young to know the super troupers who stormed the pop world between 1972 and 1983 but want to know how they did it? Or simply love pop culture and its intriguing history? Visit the ABBA museum where the Swedish band’s stage clothes, instruments, artifacts, interviews, gold records, concert footage, etc are all preserved in a contemporary interactive setting.
ABBA, a palindrome of the member’s first letter, rose to worldwide fame after winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with their hit song “Waterloo” giving Sweden its first victory in the contest. Since then, they have taken pop to the next level and still hold the title of Sweden’s biggest pop group.
What’s really interesting about the museum is that you can sing and dance alongside the holograms of the pop sensations and hear the tales of their glory firsthand in the audio guide. You will be transported back to 1974 Brighton and can get your hands on Benny’s piano!
There’s also the Mamma Mia! exhibition hosting all the original costumes, props, and memorabilia.
Fun fact: The audio guide was specially written for the museum by the screenwriter for Mamma Mia!

The ABBA Concert
Come along with the band on their 1979 North American and European tour. You can watch what happens behind the scenes as ABBA meets fans, practices, unwinds and gets ready for their performance throughout the movie. In addition, there are interviews, promos, and a performance at London’s Wembley Arena.
Exclusively: Pop Story, an animated film based on the same-titled book by Björn Ulvaeus. The movie was specially created for the ABBA museum and is only available here.
There is no set time at which you must arrive because the films are broadcast constantly throughout the day. Just settle in and enjoy in the show!
