5 May to 28 October: Friday extended hours till 10:30 PM (last entry at 8:30 PM) and on Saturday extended hours till 8:00 PM (last entry at 6:00 PM)
Note: June, July and August are the busiest months.

All visitors must pass through airport-style security. During high season the wait at security may be up to 30 minutes
St Peter’s Basilica and the Square may be closed in the morning due to Papal Audience
The opening hours are subject to change due to special events at the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St Peter’s Basilica
Wearing shorts, short skirts, sleeveless shirts, etc is not allowed as it is a religious space, same goes for tattoos that may be offensive to the Catholic morality
Special authorisation is required from the Directorate of the Museums and Cultural Heritage for drawing or reproduction of the works on display (with pencil only)
