Insider tip: Make a reservation in advance for any restaurant to avoid waiting as reserved guests enter through a seperate entrance.

2023: The Year of Gustave Eiffel

To celebrate the legacy and pay tribute to the creator of Eiffel Tower on his 100th death anniversary; multiple actors, the Association of Gustave Eiffel Descendants (ADGE), and La Poste will come together to pay respect and throw light on his history and impact across an era and in a number of different fields.

Later in the year, the Eiffel Tower and French DJ and producer Michael Canitrot will launch an exemplary artistic cooperation mixing music and the monument’s illuminations. This event also seeks to promote awareness of the significance of protecting our legacy for future generations.

Note: For safety reasons, people of determination are not allowed to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower.

It is recommended to opt for stairs to avoid waiting in line for the lift.

Timings

September to May: 9:30 AM to 11:00 PM

June to August: 9:00 AM to 10:30 PM

Peak hours: 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM

The Eiffel Tower is open every day, even on Tuesdays, unlike museums in Paris.

Note: The busiest months are from the end of June to the beginning of September

Important information

Carry an ID proof for security check

Arrive 15-20 minutes before your scheduled time at the east or south entrance for security checking. 

The weather may hamper your experience, so it is advised to check beforehand for any harsh conditions. The third floor is always windy so it is advised to carry a jacket if you plan to go to the top.

If you opt for the lift, you must go through a second security check

The venue is wheelchair, pram/stroller accessible

No animals are permitted inside except for service animals

Multiple parking options are available at a walking distance

How long does it take inside the Eiffel Tower?

It is recommended that you take your time and enjoy the visit. On each floor, it can take up to 2 hours to explore and savor the different views and eateries, but if you’re on a time crunch you can take the 90-minute guided tour as well.
